Deluxe Room

Located in the main building of the resort facing a lush green landscape, the Deluxe Rooms are Cambodian inspired with poster beds and inlaid teak floor. You may even enjoy panoramic views of the swimming pool from many of the rooms; and all rooms are guaranteed a view of the greens.

Premier Deluxe Room

Located in the north & south wings of the resort facing a lush green landscape, the rooms are Cambodian inspired with poster beds and inlaid teak floors in comfort and luxury. Each tastefully furnished room comes with a separate shower and bath.  You may even enjoy a panoramic view of the swimming pool from many of the rooms; while all rooms are guaranteed view of the greens.

The differentiation between Deluxe and Premier Deluxe Room is that Premier Deluxe Room comes with a separate shower and bath.

One Bed Room Suite

Each suite comprises a spacious living room with elephant saddle-inspired seating overlooking the lush garden and/or pool. Decorated with Cambodian style furniture, the master bedroom has a king-sized canopy bed.

The Palace Villa Complex

Jasmine Villas : Each of the four Jasmine Villas is designed in Studio-type (king-sized bed and parlor area) with indoor and outdoor bathing areas and a garden. Each Villa is 80 square meters consisting of one king-sized bedroom, one living room, and a private bathing area.

Heliconia Villas :Each of the two Heliconia Villas is designed in studio style (king-sized bed and parlor area) with indoor and outdoor bathing area, garden and patio. Each unit is 100 square meters consisting of one king-sized bedroom, one living room, terrace, and a private bathing area.

Frangipani Villa: The 120 square-meter Frangipani Villa is designed with one king-sized bedroom, living room, garden, patio, verandah, private pool and bathroom. A stand alone private villa, the Frangipani Villa evokes the feeling of holidaying in a plantation.

The Bird of Paradise Villa : The Bird of Paradise Villa has a stylish resort décor with two bedrooms (bedroom with king-sized bed and bedroom with two single beds), parlor, indoor, patio, a private pool, gazebo and garden; and is ideal for residents who prefer more space and privacy. It is the perfect Villa for a family visit.

A stand alone private villa surrounded by a lush green garden, the 220 square-meter Bird of Paradise Villa evokes the feeling of holidaying in a plantation. It has its own private car parking space and helicopter pad.

Prior to joining Angkor Palace Resort & Spa, our Executive Chef Ving San (pictured) has spent much of his professional career researching, together with his previous colleagues , the Royal recipes of Royal Khmer Cuisine that were lost for two decades during Cambodia war.

The Royal recipes have been carefully prepared by The Royal Palace' Chefs in the 1960s(?) and only served for the Royal family, dignitaries and guests of the King

Ving San said “Royal Khmer Cuisine is the menu represented at The Royal Palace in the Kingdom of Cambodia and this menu has been used for welcoming guests to The Royal Palace. I am delighted to introduce the selected receipes from our finest traditional Khmer cuisine, to our hotel guests at The Palace. As a Cambodian, I fully understand the characteristics of each ingredient, and I am familiar with culinary treasures from each province of Cambodia.”

A popular signature dish presented by Chef San from the Royal Khmer Cuisine is the baked large prawn from Tonle Sap Lake dressed in a mild spicy curry sauce. According to Chef Ving San, “I am pleased that our guests from Asia to Europe enjoy this particular dish very much.” 

Chef Ving San and his team are busy finalizing the menu for the new Royal Khmer Restaurant in the resort (scheduled to open in third quarter of 2009). He explains, “The world is globalised nowadays and major Asian cuisines, i.e.; Japanese, Chinese, Korean, are available all over the world, but Khmer cuisine is unique to Cambodia and this is one of the key experiences for visitors to Cambodia to try.”

Sunset Café
